Held every year on the Tuesday after August Bank Holiday this is one of the busiest agricultural shows of the year. A huge range of events
from Crag Racing to Trotting attracts a large number of tourists to the region for this traditional show on Bank Holiday Tues

Foodie heaven is returning to Cumbria. Planning for the Taste Cumbria festivals is well underway – and we cannot wait to welcome you to discover all this culinary loveliness.

The events will have everything you’ve come to expect from Taste Cumbria – big producers’ markets, expert demonstrations, beer tents, hot food courts, children’s entertainment, live music, comedy and more.

 

22nd – 30th October 2026   York Halloween  Festival  Made in Yorkshire

One for the holidays!  The York October Show brings together a keen group of designer-makers in the city of York.  This show has become a reputable part of the made in Yorkshire show calendar, taking place over the start of a busy half-term holiday week.  Set within a large airy marquee on Parliament Street, this show is great for those locals and visitors alike to explore a rich variety of arts and crafts.  From jewellery to ceramics, textiles to wood, photography to art, come and see us.

 

12th November  – 20th December  2026  YORK CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL.

Soak up the medieval charm of York at Christmas. Scents of spiced mulled wine and delicious food fill the air, making a York Christmas the place to be this season. Don’t miss York’s popular festive market, its back with more Christmassy fun than ever before…
